Atlassian JiraGroup Overview

Atlassian Jira

The Atlassian Jira group is the Climakers product family for governing, backing up, and safely operating Jira Cloud Automation from customer-controlled files.

It is designed for organizations where automation has outgrown a single project screen — global rules, project rules, multi-project rules, manual rules, labels, actors, webhooks, and scheduled triggers that together form an automation mesh that is difficult to review from Jira alone.

Compatibility: the Atlassian Jira product group supports Atlassian Jira Cloud Automation only. Jira Server and Jira Data Center are not supported.

Platform availability: released builds are available for macOS and Linux (Linux on both amd64 and arm64).

Operating model: read-only commands (export, report, diff, search) never change Jira. Mutation commands (import, rule, invoke) are plan-first: they print the exact target set and require confirmation unless --yes is supplied.

Commercial products: compare the active subscription plans at store.climakers.com.

What this product group solves

  • customer-owned backups of every Jira Automation rule as plain JSON on disk
  • searchable, self-contained HTML reports for governance, audit, and migration review
  • a data-egress and vendor-dependency picture — every external service the automation reaches
  • drift detection between two snapshots without live Jira access
  • safe bulk operations to pause, enable, delete, or rescope rules with previews
  • restore and cross-tenant promotion through explicit import plans

Active tools in this group

ajat

ajat is the Atlassian Jira Automation Tool.

Use it when the requirement is governance, backup, reporting, drift review, restore, or safe bulk operations across a Jira Cloud automation estate.

It is optimized for control at scale: scope-aware exports, five self-contained HTML reports, local snapshot diffing, plan-first mutations, and cross-tenant promotion.

Commercial editions: Trial, Solo, Team, CI/CD Automation, and Enterprise.

Shared operator model

ajat follows the same safe operating sequence used across the Climakers suite:

  1. activate the license
  2. configure Jira credentials
  3. run doctor
  4. discover scope with search and export
  5. review the estate with report inventory
  6. run higher-impact operations (diff, rule, import, invoke) only after the plan is visible

Suite context

The Atlassian Jira group complements the Confluence-focused Atlassian Confluence group. Where acp2md and acs2md turn Confluence knowledge into customer-owned Markdown, ajat turns Jira Cloud Automation into a customer-owned, auditable, operable automation estate.

  • Choose ajat to govern and protect Jira Automation.
  • Choose the Atlassian Confluence tools to export and own Confluence content.
